Vitula A. Boggess was born in 1857 in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. She was the second of eight children
born to Presley M. Boggess and America D. Langley. She was raised on the family farm in
Muhlenberg.
In
1880, Vitula was living in her parents’ household in Boggess, Muhlenberg
County, Kentucky.
