Louis Reid Holberg was born in 1916 in Texas. He was the last of six children born to Joseph Herman Holberg and Ruth Boggess.

Louis married Melba Lee Berryhill around 1943, probably in Houston, Harris County, Texas. They had at least three children:

James Bernard Holberg (1910-1980)

James Bernard Holberg

Son of Joseph Herman Holberg & Ruth Boggess

James Bernard Holberg was born July 23, 1910 in Port Arthur, Jefferson, Texas. He was the fifth of six children born to Joseph Herman Holberg and Ruth Boggess.

In 1930, James was living with his parents on West 20^th Street in Houston, Harris County, Texas. He was doing odd jobs as a painter’s assistant.

James married Edna Parker around 1933. He was about 23 and she was around 22. Edna was born July 10, 1911, probably in Texas. After their marriage, James and Edna settled in Tom Green County, Texas. They had at least three children:

Dorothy Laura born August 19, 1939

Robert Dee born August 23, 1946

James Bernard Holberg died on November 21, 1980 in San Angelo, Tom Green County, Texas at the age of 70 years. Edna outlived her husband by seven years. Edna Parker Holberg died in July 1987 in the same place. She was 76 years old at her death.

Guion P. Holberg was born January 22, 1906 in Louisiana. He was the fourth of six children born to Joseph Herman Holberg and Ruth Boggess.

In 1930, Guy was living with his parents on West 20^th Street in Houston, Harris County, Texas. He was employed as a seismologist, working for a petroleum company.

Guy married Claudia Aline Nowlin sometime around 1940. They had at least one child, Doris Gayle, born on February 9, 1942.

Guion P. Holberg died on October 22, 1988 in Houston, Harris County, Texas. He was 82 years old.

Coletta Holberg was born in 1903 in Arkansas. She was the third of six children born to Joseph Herman Holberg and Ruth Boggess.

Robert Earle Holberg, Sr. (1898-1974)

Robert Earle Holberg, Sr.

Son of Joseph Herman Holberg & Ruth Boggess

Robert Earle Holberg, Sr. was born on October 17, 1898 in Mississippi. He was the second of six children born to Joseph Herman Holberg and Ruth Boggess.

Robert married Doress Coley in June 1918 in Texas. He was 19 years old and she was 17 years. Doress was born November 12, 1900 in Louisiana, the daughter of Alcide Coley and Alice Harrison. After their marriage, Robert and Doress settled in Houston, Harris County, Texas, and stayed in that area the rest of their lives.

Robert registered for the draft for World War I on September 12, 1918. At that time, he and Doress were living in a home 229 West 21^st Street in Houston, Harris County, Texas. Robert was working as a ship carpenter for the Universal Shipbuilding Company in Houston. He was described as medium height and slender build with brown hair and eyes. He did not serve in the war.

In 1930, Robert and Doress were renting a home on 4009 Dover Street in Houston. He was working as an engineer for the city water company. They had two children at that time:

Robert Earle Holberg, Sr. died on February 7, 1974 in Houston, Harris County, Texas, at the age of 75 years. Doress went on to live another fifteen years after her husband’s death. She died on August 7, 1989 in the same county. Doress was 88 years old at her death.
