James Frank Nourse
James Frank Nourse was born on March 2, 1895 in Madisonville, Hopkins County, Kentucky. He was the eldest of three children born to John Davis Nourse and Elizabeth Celia Utley.
On June 5, 1917, Frank registered for the draft for World War I. He was laboring as a farmer at that time. He was described as medium height and build with blue eyes and brown hair. He did not serve in the war.
Frank married Bethel Cavanah on December 26, 1927 in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. He was 32 years old and she was 23 years. Bethel was born on August 3, 1904 in Hopkins County.
In 1930, Frank and Bethel were renting a farm in Kitchen, Hopkins County. Their rent was $8.00 per month. Frank was working in a coal mine at that time.
James Frank Nourse died on November 20, 1990 in Madisonville, Hopkins County, Kentucky. He was 95 years old at his death. Bethel Cavanah Nourse died three years later on January 6, 1994. She died in Los Alamitos, Orange County, California, at the age of 89 years.
