Earl S. Boggess
Earl S. Boggess was born on October 3, 1887 in Galla Creek Township, Pope County, Arkansas. He was the eldest of four children born to William Clarence Boggess and Dora A. Reed.
Earl was raised on the family farm located on the Little Rock Fort Smith Highway in Galla Creek, Pope County, Arkansas. He grew up near the farms of his father’s parents, and his Uncle Haise Boggess.
Sometime between 1910 and 1918, Earl married Hazel (maiden name unknown). Hazel was born around 1892 in Arkansas. There is no record of any children born to this union.
Earl registered for World War I on June 5, 1917, at the age of 29. He was a farmer and a “Sub Mail Carrier” at that time. He was of medium height, stout, with grey eyes and dark brown hair.
After about twenty years of marriage, Hazel was left a widow. Earl S. Boggess died on November 6, 1936 in Pope County, Arkansas, just one month after his 49th birthday.
