Kirk Torry Wray (1895-1983)


Kirk Torry Wray was born April 3, 1895 in Saline County, Arkansas.  He was the son of Joseph A. H. Wray and Elizabeth “Bessie” M. Torry.  He was raised on the family farm in Beaver, Saline County, Arkansas.

On June 5, 1917, Kirk registered for the draft for the First World War.  At that time he was living with his parents and working on the family farm in Beaver, Saline County.  Kirk was described as short and slender, with brown eyes and black hair.  Kirk served his country from September 1917 to May 1919.

Kirk Torry Wray died on August 25, 1983 in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas.  He was 88 years old at his death.  Kirk was buried in the Little Rock National Cemetary.
