Julius Kemp Wray (1891-1924)


Julius Kemp Wray was born August 19, 1891 in Saline County, Arkansas.  He was the son of Joseph A. H. Wray and Elizabeth “Bessie” M. Torry.  He was raised on the family farm in Beaver, Saline County, Arkansas.

On June 5, 1917, Julius registered for the draft for the First World War.  At that time he was living with his parents and working on the family farm in Beaver, Saline County.  Julius was described as of medium height and slender build, with grey eyes and brown hair.

Julius Kemp Wray died on June 11, 1924 in Pulaski County, Arkansas.  He was just two months shy of his 33rd birthday.
