Lucy
Stevenson was born
February 22, 1896 in Union, Boone County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of George H. Stevenson and Florence May Clements. She was
raised on the family farm in Union.
Lucy married Russell Harrison Garrison
on February 28, 1914 in Newport, Campbell County, Kentucky. She was 18 years old and he was 24
years. Russell was born September 25,
1887 in Union, Boone County, Kentucky, the son of Thomas Garrison and Lillian
A. Hagish.
Russell registered for the draft for
the First World War on June 5, 1917. He
and Lucy were living in Union, where he did farm labor. He was described as of medium height and
stout build, with dark blue eyes and dark brown hair. Russell did not serve in the war.
Lucy gave birth to a little girl on
May 26, 1920 in Union, Boone County, Kentucky.
The child was stillborn.
In 1940, Russell and Lucy were living
and working on a farm on Rice Pike Road in Boone County, Kentucky.
