George Logan Wright was born on December 14, 1885 in Petie Jean, Logan County,
Arkansas. He was the son of James E. Wright and Mary E. “Mollie” Bonds.
George was raised on the family farm in Logan County, Arkansas.
In 1910, George was
living with his married brother, Rue, and his family on their farm in Petit Jean,
Logan County, Arkansas.
George married Zella
G. Daniels on November 3, 1916 in Logan County, Arkansas. He was 29 years old and she was 23
years. Zella was born on December 16,
1893 in Logan County, Arkansas, the daughter of John A. Daniels and Louisiana
Willbanks.
Two years after his
marriage, George registered for the draft for the First World War, on September
12, 1918 in Paris, Logan County, Arkansas.
At that time, he and Zella were living and working on a farm in Magazine,
Logan County, Arkansas. George was
described as of medium height and slender build, with grey eyes and dark
hair. He did not serve in the war.
In 1930, George and
Zella were living and working on a farm on Highway 10 in Revilee, Logan County,
Arkansas. They were living in the same
place in 1940.
George Logan Wright
died on July 16, 1968 in Magazine, Logan County, Arkansas. He was buried in Evans Cemetery in Magazine,
Logan County, Arkansas. He was 82 years
old at his death.
Zella G. Daniels
Wright died on February 15, 1978, probably in Logan County, Arkansas. She was laid to rest beside her husband in
Evans Cemetery in Magazine, Logan County, Arkansas. She was 84 years old at her death.
