Mary Ann
Stevenson was born in
November 1824 in Mason County (now, Bracken County), Kentucky. She was the daughter of Stephen Stevenson and Fanny Proctor.
Mary
married James Murphy on March 25, 1855 in Boone County, Kentucky. She was 30 years old and he was 41
years. James was born in 1816 in
Pennsylvania. The couple settled their
family on a farm in Boone County. They
had three children:
Charles
B. Murphy born June 1856
Mary
Stella Murphy born March 1, 1857
James
Murphy died sometime between 1870 and 1880.
After the death of her husband, Mary lived with her son, George.
Mary Ann
Stevenson Murphy died in February 15, 1911 in Covington, Kenton County,
Kentucky. She was 86 years old at her death.
