Pauline
Gregory
was born on August 11, 1845 in Union County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Richard Gregory and
Sarah F. Waggener.
Pauline married N. Bert Earle, a widower, on December 1, 1861 in
Hopkins County, Kentucky. She was 16
years old and he was 38 years. N. B. was
born on July 25, 1823 in Kentucky.
N. B. and Pauline had one child:
Sallie Earle born
September 21, 1863
N. Bert Earle died on September 17, 1865 in Hopkins County,
Kentucky. He was laid to rest near his
first wife, Mariam, in Bishop Cemetery in Hopkins County, Kentucky. He was 42 years old at his death.
Pauline remarried to James L. Robertson three years later. They were wed on June 30, 1868 in Hopkins
County, Kentucky. This was the second
marriage for both. James was born about
1820 in Kentucky.
In 1870, James and Pauline were living and working on a farm in
Caseyville, Union County, Kentucky. Listed
in the household were James’ five youngest children, as well as Pauline’s
daughter.
James L. Robertson died sometime before 1880, as Pauline was
listed as a widow in that census.
In 1880, Pauline was living with her married daughter, Sallie
Berry, and her husband in their home in Caseyville, Union County,
Kentucky.
Pauline Gregory Earle Robertson died on July 5, 1888 in
Kentucky. She was buried in the Grapevine
Cemetery in Madisonville, Hopkins County, Kentucky. Pauline was 42 years old at her death.
