John Luckett was born October 18, 1874 in Kentucky. Both of his parents were also born in Kentucky.
John married Lillian B. Hendricks on November 23, 1908 in Vanderburgh County, Indiana. He was 34 years old and she was 33 years. Lillian was born on May 9, 1875 in Indiana. This was John’s first marriage, and Lillian’s second.
Lillian was born in May 1870, in Indiana. She married John Englehart in 1888 in Indiana, probably in Posey County. She was 18 years old and John was 34 years. She and John Englehart divorced sometime between 1902 and 1908.
There were seven children born to John and Lillian Englehart. The 1900 Census lists Lillian as the mother of six children with three still living. The Indiana Birth Index lists an additional child born to Lillian in 1902. Only three of their seven children lived to reach adulthood. These are the children of John and Lillian Englelart:

In 1910 John Englehart, age 56, was living in Mount Vernon, Posey County, Indiana with two of his children; Anna, age 15, and Fred, age 16. He was a proprietor of a saloon in Mt. Vernon at that time.
After their marriage, Lillian and John Luckett settled down in a rental home on Upper Third Street in Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana. By 1920, they had purchased a farm on Pollock Avenue in Evansville. John was employed as a pipe fitter for a steam pipe company. In 1930, John and Lillian were living in a home located at 2015 Bellameade Avenue in Evansville.
Lillian B. Hendricks Luckett died on May 21, 1951 in Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana. She was 81 years old at her death. Lillian had been a member of the First Christian Church in Evansville.
