Ida M. Hobbs was born Feb 16, 1888 in East Liverpool, Columbiana County, Ohio. She was the daughter of Eli Hamilton Milton Hobbs and Henrietta Arb.
Ida married John William Hendricks on December 26, 1906 either in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania or Columbiana County, Ohio. She was 18 years old and he was 21 years. John was born June 14, 1885 in Yellow Creek Township, Columbiana County, Ohio, the son of Francis Marion Hendricks and Maria Blanche Connor.
After their marriage, the couple bought a home next to John’s parents in East Liverpool, Columbiana County. There, John found work as a roller for a tin mill. John enlisted for service in the First and Second World Wars. John and Ida had at least six children:

John William Hendricks died on October 26, 1965 in East Liverpool, Columbiana County, Ohio. He was 80 years old at his death.
Ida M. Hobbs Hendricks survived her husband by 17 years. She died on October 9, 1982 in Coweta County, Georgia, at the age of 94 years.
