Clarence Knight Bell (1882-1950)

Clarence Knight Bell was born January 10, 1882 in Hays, McCracken County, Kentucky.  He was the eldest of six children born to Wyley Jesse Bell and Elizabeth Eaker.  Throughout his youth, he helped his father work on the family’s dairy farm in Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky.

In 1910, Clarence married Juliana Katharina "Katie" Bauer, in McCracken County.  He was 28 years old and she was 25 years.  Katie was born on April 13, 1886 in Kentucky, the daughter of Johann Andreas Bauer and Emma Maria Margaretha Dargel.

After their marriage, Clarence and Katie moved to California.  By 1930, Clarence was operating a poultry ranch worth $10,000 in Norwalk, Los Angeles County, California.  

Clarence and Katie were the parents of one child, Dorothy E. Bell, born on February 25, 1924 in Los Angeles County, California.

Clarence Knight Bell died on March 11, 1950, in Los Angeles County, California, at the age of 68.  Katie died nine years later.

Juliana Katharina Bauer Bell died on August 1, 1959 in the same county.  She was 73 years old at her death.
