Margaret Rachel Ragsdale was born on September 13, 1905 in Pottsville, Pope County, Arkansas. She was the fourth of six children born to Excelsior and Emma Ragsdale.
Margaret married John C. Ragon in 1928, probably in Russellville, Pope County, Arkansas. She was 22 years old and he was 21. John was born on June 23, 1906 in Arkansas.
In 1930, John and Margaret made their home boarding with Marrion and Mary Bryant on 2103 Smith Lane in Fort Smith, Sebastian County, Arkansas. John was a Shoeshine Salesman. John and Margaret had one child, John C. Ragon, Jr. He was born in February 1930 in Fort Smith, Sebastian County, Arkansas.
Margaret Rachel Ragsdale Ragon died three months after her 78th birthday. She died in December 1983 in Fort Smith, Sebastian County, Arkansas. Her husband, John C. Ragon, joined her in death 13 years later on December 17, 1996 in Fort Smith, Sebastian County, Arkansas. He was 90 years old.
