Henry Clay Stevenson (1855-1941)

Henry Clay Stevenson was born February 13, 1855 in Covington, Kenton County, Kentucky.  He was the son of John Edgar Stevenson and Mary Ann Scholes.  Henry was raised in Covington. 

On October 20, 1921, Henry married Anna Dombrowski in Hamilton County, Ohio.  Although they were listed as “married” in the 1920 US Census, Henry and Anna were not officially married until 1921.  He was 66 years old and she was 31 years.  Anna was born November 30, 1889 in Russian Poland, the daughter of Joseph Dombrowski and Adella Gabrielowitz. 

Henry and Anna settled their family in a home at 243 Kiser Street in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio, where he was employed as a solicitor for a household furnishings company.  The couple had at least four children:

Helen                           born 1917

Virginia                        born 1919

Henry Clay Stevenson died on March 19, 1941 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio.  He was 86 years old at his death.  Henry was buried in Linden Grove Cemetery in Covington, Kenton County, Kentucky.

Anna Dombrowski died 45 years later, on June 24, 1986 in Grandview Hospital in Dayton, Montgomery, Ohio.  She was 96 years old.
