Maude Bernice Blackwell (1898-1963)

Maude Bernice Blackwell was born on June 3, 1898 in Greenville, Muhlenberg County, Kentucky.  She was the daughter of Marshall Needham Blackwell and Mary Catherine Lehman. 

Her father was a farmer by trade, and Maude was raised on the family farm in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky.  In 1920, the family farm was located on Main Street in Greenville, Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. 

The Blackwell family moved to Iowa in 1921 and by 1925 had settled on a farm in Liberty, Woodbury County. 

Maude was living with her parents on their farm in Little Sioux, Harrison County, Iowa in 1930. 

At some point, Maude married a Mr. Young and they lived in San Bernardino County, California.

Maude Bernice Blackwell Young died on July 9, 1963 in San Bernardino County, California.  She was buried near her father in the Little Sioux Cemetery in Little Sioux, Harrison County, Iowa.  Maude was 65 years old at her death.
